Fred's Conservation Trip to Costa Rica 2025
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Fred, I am 17 years old and fundraising towards a four week camp in Costa Rica with Camps International. It is an exciting opportunity for me to help the organisation with their amazing conservation and community work, to allow myself to broaden my cultural horizons and to experience and preserve the breathtaking wildlife in Costa Rica. The 28 day trip includes 3 different camps, one in the incredibly bio diverse jungle, one by the beautiful coastline and one immersed in the local community formed by the indigenous Teribe people. During the 4 weeks I will take part in many projects supporting development of the local villages, including building communal structures and facilities for the native people. I will also be taking part in many important environmental projects, including protecting turtles and their ecosystem.
If you want to learn more about Camps International please visit https://www.campsinternational.com/ to read about the amazing organisation and what they do.
To raise money for this event I will be walking along the tough South West Coast Path from Penzance to my home town of Lostwithiel, approximately 105 miles, across 8 days and 7 nights with a small group of friends who are on the trip as well. We will collectively carry camping gear, food and other necessities with us for the duration of the journey from the 11th April to the 18th April.
