Free Dana Beal and Abolish Cannabis Prohibition
Donation protected
Dear friends, supporters, and fellow activists,
My name is Aivia Rose. I am the daughter of the Marijuana Rights Activist and member of the original Yippie!s (Youth International Party), Dana Beal. I’m reaching out to you with a plea for urgent assistance for my father. He is a remarkable individual who has dedicated over five decades of his life to his activism and is currently facing a critical moment in his life that I will need the aid of the activist community for— and anyone who can help.
Unfortunately, his unwavering commitment to compassion and justice has led to recent legal troubles. He was arrested in Idaho for transporting medical marijuana to low-income patients. Given Dana’s age, poor health and serious heart condition, any jail facility, let alone extended prison stay, would threaten his life.
Dana Beal, my father, urgently needs financial support during this tumultuous time. How can we come together as a community to ensure that Dana receives the care and resources he needs to navigate this difficult period? Funding resources. Please give what you can, if you can.
My father Dana has been a tireless advocate for the legalization of marijuana, the fight against racism, and addressing the nation's drug crisis through groundbreaking approaches such as his work with Ibogaine, a substance from the African Rainforest known for its potential to treat drug addiction, PTSD, Parkinson's Disease, depression, and several other ailments.
He has devoted his life to fighting for justice, equality, and the well-being of others. His advocacy work spans generations, and his impact on the marijuana rights movement and drug crisis solutions has been immeasurable.
Please help me to help my Dad. Dana has truly pioneered and persevered in continuing American activism. Every donation, no matter the size, is a step towards obtaining his freedom, and is a way to honor the invaluable contributions Dana has made to drug policy reform, and indeed the current psychedelic renaissance in mental health medicine. Your contributions also send a clear message that we as a society are ready to turn away from antiquated laws which no longer reflect our values and only serve to harm the most vulnerable amongst us.
We are grateful for your generosity and commitment to standing as a movement, and with my Dad in his time of need. Together, we can make a difference. Please stand collectively, at any level of support, to #FreeDanaBeal and get on with abolishing the remnants of the drug war. This is the twelfth hour of our fight to end Cannabis Prohibition for good. Don’t let my Dad go down as another casualty of misplaced social control laws that are unjust! Thank you for your time, your consideration, and for your generosity of resources to continue supporting Dana’s lifetime of advocacy.
