Free Fiona from Neurological Lyme Disease
Donation protected
My name is Jenny Littman, and I have created this GoFundMe account to help my dear friend Fiona Shakeela Burns raise the funds she urgently needs for immediate medical treatment.
Fiona is currently very sick with Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease. Her symptoms are:
Extreme fatigue, breathlessness, panic attacks, dizziness, brain fog, blurry vision, palpitations, acute insomnia, tinnitus, constant tingling, aching throughout her whole body, and depression.
Many of you will know Fiona because of her inspiring work within the field of cancer. She is a Medical herbalist and Energy Psychology Facilitator, as well as being a great networker for health and wellness, organising events including conferences and retreats, and speaking at conferences and on radio.
Fiona had Leukaemia and Sarcoma when she was eleven years old and thirty years later, she had metastasised cervix cancer which had gone to the ovaries and brain.
Fiona has been cancer-free for fourteen years and since then, has worked tirelessly and courageously for others, especially those facing life-threatening disease.
Over the years, she has supported many people to regain their health.
Earlier this year Fiona was bitten by a tick and has been struggling with her health ever-since.
Some of you will know that Fiona lost her beloved Father at the end of last year.
She had spent many months taking care of him in her home and selflessly enabled his last months of life to be filled with love, laughter and compassionate care surrounded by those he loved.
Fiona believes that prior to her being bitten by the infected tick that bore the Lyme Disease, her immunity was already severely impacted by the emotional and physical toll of caring for and then losing her Dad.
Following the diagnosis of Chronic Neurological Lyme Disease and after many months of exhausting treatment and tests and following the best advice available to her to treat the Lyme Disease, Fiona's health has continued to deteriorate.
Fiona feels that the best way forward for her to get well again quickly, is to go for treatment at St George Clinic in Germany.
This is the same clinic where she received IPT with hyperthermia for the metastasised cancer she was dealing with in 2007/2008. By co-incidence, or maybe serendipity, the Clinic has developed a very effective treatment strategy for dealing with Lyme and are now leading the way with treatment for Chronic Lyme disease in Europe.
The treatment time is two weeks, during which Fiona will receive two lots of full-body hyperthermia – heating the body to a temperature of 41.6 degrees. This heat kills the Borrelia spirochete responsible for the Lyme disease as well as the co-infections. Antibiotics are given via intravenous infusion to make sure all the Borrelia are killed. The heat makes the antibiotics more effective. This has to be done under general anaesthetic in an intensive care setting to make sure the procedure is totally safe.
Fiona has been a shining example to so many, especially those facing life-threatening disease. She has worked tirelessly and courageously for others for years. Now she needs our help.
I ask you to please donate whatever you can so that the target of £22,200 can be met to support Fiona to regain her health and once more, be the inspiring being that we all know her to be.
The money will pay for:
Two lots of full body hyperthermia with augmented antibiotic therapy
Various intravenous infusions such as vitamin C
Blood ozonation
Colonic hydrotherapy.
Photon therapy.
Nursing care
Accommodation and flights for herself and a companion
About Lyme:
Lyme disease is the number one vector-borne epidemic in the US and Europe, with annual cases of around 500,000. Some studies suggest a million a year and growing. A systemic infection caused by "Spirochete" - corkscrew-shaped bacteria called Borrelia Burgdorfi - burrow into organs and lymph vessels. The bacteria are transmitted to humans through the bite of a deer tick.
Lyme disease is known as the 'great imitator' since it can mimic the symptoms of more than 350 diseases - including Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, MS, ALS, Parkinsons and Alzheimers. Lyme and its co-infections cause hundreds of different symptoms in many parts of the body. These can include neurocognitive and neuropsychiatric symptoms - such as anxiety, panic, suicidal ideation, depression, hallucinations, insomnia, rage, and hyperactivity.
The biggest cause of death in people with Lyme is suicide.
