Free Iran Mural on Divisadero and Hayes
Donation protected
Rare Device is happy to announce that we're working with Iranian artist, Termeh Behbahani [@termehb.art]. Termeh has designed and will paint a mural on our wall on Hayes Street and Divisadero in San Francisco. All the proceeds raised for this fundraiser will go directly to pay the artist for their artwork and the materials used for this mural.
One of the best ways to support the Iranian revolution and to put a stop to the countless human rights violations happening since September of 2022 is to spread the word and create awareness. By doing so, we can continue to put pressure on the media and on our government to keep the news coverage going and the political pressure. Our highly visible wall in the city of San Francisco on Hayes Street at Divisadero is the perfect place to convey this message.
We need our community's help to make this project a reality. We appreciate your support!
About Termeh:
Born in Tehran, Iran until the age of 19, I had grown up under the Islamic Regime. I decided to move to San Francisco, CA to pursue art knowing that the same opportunities were not available to me if I stayed in Iran. In September 2022 when the mass protests started in Iran, I was visiting my family. That experience had a profound impact on me and I believe that I can use my power as an artist to create awareness for this cause. The first-ever women-led revolution is happening right now and most world leaders have chosen to ignore it completely. I hope to be able to amplify the Iranian people’s message with my art and help them create the democracy they have to been asking for 44 years.
