Free Library in Surf City: Montañita, Ecuador

Donation protected

Montanita in Ecuador, is a town famous for its waves and its nightlife. Surrounded by nature and full of beautiful people, I feel the only thing we are missing is a good solid library.
I have been collecting books and art throughout my life.
I tried to do a Cultural Center before, but the lack of capital and the dependence on others stopped it.
This time I have asked for a loan so I can do it myself, in the way I want it, and people is loving it!
La Casa Green Power is not only a Free Library, but also an Art Gallery, and with your help an Open Cinema. People come here to read, philosophy and share laughs.
But that's not all. This cultural gem is complimented by great healthy food. This way even when donations end, this space will remain open and thriving.
I am gluten-free, and after a friend gave me a gluten-free delicious chocolate cake as a birthday present, I decided to start selling it. For two years it has been my job, to deliver it from my bike.
Now I can offer this and other creations, for people with special needs, in a space that I am honored to channel in this world.
I would be forever grateful if you help me kickstart this, once is rolling, it will go on its own.
Now I have started it with a loan, but even though people is coming, it won't be enough to cover the monthly payments, the rent, the bills, and the employees.

...

I know we are not all the same. I know we care about different things, so I don't blame you if you think this is not so necessary.

To me, half of who I am today owes to books, they enrichened my life since very young, they have taught me a new language, and not only have inspired me and molded me through the years, but I can say without any fear of exaggeration, that books have saved my life in a moment when I was lost and depressed. They give you company when you are alone, and take your mind off yourself, they open your eyes to new lives, experiences, ways of being and seeing reality. I wanted to make this available to the people. Before asking for the loan I feared, my doubts would tell me "This is a waste of time. You are risking too much. Who is gonna come read?" But to my surprise, many people come and just take a book to sit for an hour or two and read.
You are very welcome to be a part of this beautiful reality! In any way, you find fit.
I wish you a wonderful day and hopefully, our paths cross in the nearest future.

Edit 7th of April:
Gofundme has told me that I cant offer anything back to donors. They paused the campaign until I remove any information offering anything as a reward.
They have asked me to mention, and I quote, that "no raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or promotions are offered in exchange for any donations made to this gofundme"
I apologize, and hopefully we can continue now.
