“Free Pantry” for Fremont, Ohio
Donation protected
Hey guys! I have an idea for all of you, I’m not sure if anyone has seen the “free pantry’s” in other cities but I would love to put one here in Fremont. If you haven’t seen them, the concept is to put a pantry-like box in a central location, that can be filled with non perishable goods. The items are donated by citizens of the town and the items can be taken for no charge at anytime, by whoever is in need of them.
Item examples are:
Peanut butter, bread
Mac & cheese
Soup
Canned veggies
Hygiene products,
Baby & children items
Socks, gloves, hats, sunscreen
School supplies
You get the idea! While I understand people who are not in need may take the items donated, I know that the good in Fremont out weighs the bad, and I feel like this could be a positive thing for our town!
This specific pantry that I found is $515 plus $80 shipping and requires a 6x6 post that must be purchased separately. If we exceed our goal of $700, the excess money will be put solely toward the pantry, the upkeep & stocking it.
There are several locations being explored & I have high hopes that this will be beyond successful!
Whether you can donate or not, thank you so much for your support.
