Free patient flights for medical and healthcare to Perth
Donation protected
Fly2 Foundation provides free flights for vulnerable people living in country WA to access specialist medical appointments in Perth. We have launched in Western Australia.
On 6 August 2024, we celebrated our inaugural patient transfer, transporting Frankie McKenzie from Lake Grace to Perth. Frankie is an eight-year-old with level two spastic diplegia cerebral palsy requires regular Botox injections to manage his condition, as well as a suite of specialist appointments only available in the city.
National Rural Health Alliance report “nearly 45,000 people in remote Australia have no
access to primary healthcare services within an hour’s drive time from their home.”
On average, Australians living in rural and remote areas have shorter lives, higher levels of disease and injury, and poorer access to, and use of, health services compared with people living in metropolitan areas. Poorer health outcomes in rural and remote areas may be due to multiple factors including lifestyle differences and a level of disadvantage related to education and employment opportunities, as well as access to health services.
Your donation will help us fund more flights for people living in the bush.
