After more than three decades of conflicts, generations of Somali children have lost access to formal education and other basic necessities of a stable childhood.

Increasingly isolated towns with little to no infrastructure need programs that provide free education for the orphaned and underprivileged, to help ensure a better future for the youth of tomorrow. 

The Omar Shegow foundation is planning to give hope to those kids who have no other way of getting an education or help them break through the cycle of poverty. 

We have donated our grandfather Omar Shegow's house in Baraawe, Somalia to that community where we plan to convert into a tuition free primary school so that the underprivileged and marginalized kids can receive free primary education.

Prophet Muhammad(PBUH) said “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things:

Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him

You can help sponsor a child, buy school supplies or build classrooms and a safe learning environment for these children.
