FREE Student Activists Against EACOP

Donation protected
Total Energies, European, Chinese, and British investors, insurers, and oil companies are financing an oil pipeline that will cut through East Africa's communities and biodiversity. On November 24th 2023, 7 students in Uganda were brutally arrested and put in prison, while they were peacefully marching against this project, the East African Crude Oil Pipeline. On December 14th 2023, 4 other young activists marched in solidarity with the 7 students and were, in turn, brutally arrested by the Ugandan police. We hold Total Energies and all the project stake holders responsible for these human rights violations.

Donate to support the young protestors risking life and liberty to stop this climate bomb. They need your help to pay for legal fees, medical attention (they are injured from the arrests), etc.

What is the EACOP?

The East African Crude Oil Pipeline would be the longest crude oil pipeline in the world. The heated pipeline would emit 30 times the annual emissions of Uganda and Tanzania combined. If constructed, it will destroy forests and pump oil through freshwater sources, like Lake Victoria, which 40 million people rely on for water and food production. The oil will not be used to benefit the affected communities - it will be exported and sold on international markets.

We must support these brave young people standing up for their survival and the whole of humanity against the criminal fossil fuel industry.
