Free virtual concerts for care homes and hospitals

Queen Victoria’s Consort is an expert ensemble of musicians playing instruments and music of the Victorian era in full period costume. We would like to record high quality themed concerts, with an interactive element to send for free digitally into U.K. care homes and hospitals. As well as the ensembles regular members we would like to offer employment for the recordings to other free lance musicians who have been affected by Covid and the government’s lack of realistic support for the arts and musicians. £2,500 will allow us to record a fantastic concert that once filmed can be watched and shared in an infinite amount of care environments. The music is all out of copyright so the venues can show the concerts on TV screens at their leisure. Given the Covid conditions these facilities are having to cope with, relatives will be able to join the concert viewings via zoom. We already have the support of a number of care homes who would love these concerts. We also have the advice of a wonderful psychiatrist who has a special interest in the positive power of music on those suffering with dementia
