Freedom Arch Recovery Residence - Food Bank
Donation protected
Freedom Arch Recovery Residence is a Men’s, Women’s, and Gender Expansive sober living community just north of Atlanta.
My name is Duncan, I’m an alcoholic and I would not be here today without the help of Freedom Arch. I was a resident of Freedom Arch for 5 months at the beginning of my recovery journey about 2.5 years ago, and have been the program manager for the last year.
I was lucky enough to have immense help and support when I entered the Freedom Arch program, and the main thing that has struck me now that I work here is how many people come into our program truly starting from scratch without any support at all. And not just starting from scratch, but doing it all alone. No food, just a few bucks in your pocket, and alone is a pretty scary place to be.
With this perspective in mind we have started the Freedom Arch food pantry. For the past few weeks we have been able to help so many new residents and current residents with donations from local food banks and my saint of a mother. The smile and look of relief on a new clients face when we hand them a box packed full of deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, canned goods, ramen noodles, etc. is indescribable. There are few places where your donations will go directly into the hands of people in need and this is one of them. You have the Duncan guarantee on that.
there is no “goal” for this, if all you can afford to do is just share this link then we are grateful.
From one addict just trying to help some other addicts, thank you.
