Freeman hospital - Ward 21 ICU
Donation protected
I am running the Great North Run this year to raise money for Ward 21 intensive care at the Freeman hospital in Newcastle. Last year after feeling unwell for a few days I was admitted to hospital with Sepsis and pneumonia. I was on life support for just over 2 weeks on ward 21. After 2 major surgeries, the skills of the nurses and doctors on the ward and being told survival was unlikely I survived. I took up running when I was able to and I am raising money to help towards the ward and families going through similar situations.
