Freestyle for Fletch

A swim by mates, supporting a mate

A few weeks ago, Fletch Crowley, a 17 year old student from Balgowlah Boys, was training for an upcoming mountain bike competition, when he had an accident resulting in a severe spinal cord injury. In a split second, life has changed for Fletch. He is approaching his rehab with the most amazing attitude, and adjusting to what life looks like as a paraplegic.

Added to this, Fletch's older brother has a rare form of cancer called Von Hippel-Lindau, that requires regular medical intervention and treatment. It's without a doubt more than one family should have to face.

Fletch has been described as 'one of the nicest guys'... and his schoolmates at Bally Boys are keen to help him and his family in any way they can - starting with the significant home modifications and ongoing medical support that are required.

So on Sunday 5th November, the Bally Boys water polo team, along with other swimmers from the school, plus the local community, will be swimming to raise vital funds for the Crowleys. You can sponsor them as they don their red caps and swim from Manly to Shelly to Manly to Shelly to Manly to Shelly to Manly! Aiming for '5km for Fletch' - and every stroke will help! Please dig deep and show your support, as these guys roll their arms over in the water to show their support for a mate, and a champion human being.

Fletcher and the Crowley family are so grateful to the boys - and to you - for the support.
