Supporting a Survivor of Domestic Violence

Dear friends, family, and compassionate individuals, I hope this message finds you well. Today, I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for support. My name is Peta Robinson, and I am a survivor of an extreme and horrific family domestic violence relationship. I have finally managed to escape this nightmare, but the aftermath has left me with nothing but shattered pieces of my life.
After enduring years of physical and emotional abuse, my ex-partner has been sentenced. However, the threat to my safety and the safety of my children persists. Despite the legal measures taken, I am forced to live in constant fear, hiding from the shadows of my past. The outreach programs available to survivors have not been able to provide me with the necessary assistance, and unfortunately, the local authorities have been unhelpful in ensuring our safety.  
With my home burned down, I have lost everything. I am currently homeless, struggling to find a safe place for myself and my children. The financial support I once relied on is no longer available, leaving me in a vulnerable position. My credit rating has been ruined, creating additional barriers to obtaining housing and financial stability.
Today, I reach out to you, not only for financial aid but also for emotional support. The trauma I have experienced has taken a toll on my mental health, and I am beginning to struggle. The weight of seven years of abuse still lingers, and I fear that without immediate assistance, I may be forever trapped in this state of suffering.
 In order to rebuild my life and provide a safe environment for my children, I am in desperate need of your help. The funds raised through this campaign will be allocated towards purchasing a reliable car, securing a safe place to live, and rebuilding our lives from scratch. Additionally, the funds will support therapy sessions to aid in the healing process and ensure a healthier future for myself and my children.
