Freya's Fairies Need Your Help

Freya is 10 years old and was born with an extremely rare form of Epilepsy called Ohtahara Syndrome.  She has a rare genetic mutation called STXBP1.  There are only 4 children like her in Ireland.  For Freya, this means she cannot walk, talk, feed or toilet herself.  She is fully dependent on others and requires 24 hour care and daily medication.

Freya is a happy little girl with an infections smile! We don't see her any differently to her siblings.  However, Freya is growing fast and we cannot lift her anymore.  She currently weighs 25.2kg.  Freya urgently requires a bedroom and wetroom downstairs and a ceiling track hoist to safely transfer Freya from her wheelchair to shower and to bed.  It is no longer safe for us to carry Freya upstairs to bed and bathroom.  Freya needs to be transferred safely and comfortably going forward to improve her daily quality of life.  For this to happen, our home will require structural building work.  We have been approved half of the cost of the building work from Dublin City Council, but need to raise the other half ourselves.  We are hoping that some of you would find it in your hearts to help make Freya's home accessible for her needs.  We would be truly grateful for any donations no matter how small.
