Freya's road to Hong Kong '24

I have been selected to represent Wales at this summer's U20 World Lacrosse Championships. It is an amazing privilege to play for my country and I am so excited for the opportunity that it offers.

The tournament takes place in Hong Kong in August 2024, which will be the trip of a lifetime, as I have never been outside Europe before.

It is obviously not the cheapest place to get to, so I will be undertaking a number of activities to help with the funding of this adventure in the next couple of months.

The scheduled flight time from London to Hong Kong is about 13 hours, so in the first instance I am going to run a half marathon - ie one mile for each hour of that flight. I can't promise that I will be going very quickly, but hopefully I can to get to the end.

I am going to do this by running 17 laps of the Monmouth School playing fields from 11am on Sunday 16th June. If anyone would like to run/stagger with me for any part of the journey, it would be great to have you on board.
