Hope for a normal life

Hallo,

ich bin Uli und durch eine plötzlich aufgetretene Auto-Immun-Erkrankung seit August 2022 an einen Rollstuhl gefesselt. Mein Leben hat sich dadurch innerhalb eines Monats von Grund auf geändert. Durch die Krankheit habe ich eine Stand- und Gangataxie entwickelt, weshalb ich nicht mehr laufen kann. Zudem kann ich durch meine Erkrankung nicht mehr richtig sprechen, habe Doppelbilder und einen Tremor in beiden Händen. Das alles schränkt mich in meinem täglichen Leben vollkommen ein. Leider hat bisher keine Therapie eine nachhaltige Besserung bewirken können. Seit Mai 2024 gibt es nun aber Hoffnung auf Heilung durch eine Stammzellentherapie. Da diese Therapie in einer Privatklinik stattfindet, muss ich die Kosten für die komplette Behandlung - in etwa 35.000 € - selbst tragen. Der Schritt zu dieser Kampagne fällt mir nicht leicht. Da mir die Krankheit aber meine Erwerbsfähigkeit genommen hat, ist das die einzige Möglichkeit die Behandlung zu finanzieren. Ich danke euch schon einmal von Herzen für eure Unterstützung in jeglicher Form - alles kann nichts muss. Jeder Euro hilft mir.

I am Uli, and due to a suddenly occurring autoimmune disease, I have been confined to a wheelchair since August 2022. My life changed fundamentally within a month because of this. As a result of the illness, I have developed stance and gait ataxia, which means I can no longer walk. Additionally, my disease has affected my ability to speak properly, caused double vision, and given me a tremor in both hands. All of this severely restricts my daily life. Unfortunately, no therapy has been able to bring about a lasting improvement so far. However, since May 2024, there is hope for a cure through stem cell therapy. Since this therapy takes place in a private clinic, I have to bear the entire cost of the treatment myself—approximately 35,000 €. Taking this step to start a campaign is not easy for me. But since the disease has taken away my ability to work, this is the only way to finance the treatment. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support in any form—everything helps, nothing is obligatory. Every euro helps me.
