Fridays4Freedom

Fridays4Freedom is a collective of Black youth and their allies fighting for Black liberation in Portland, Oregon and beyond. We will be marching every Friday until the November general elections. Find our demands for policy, education and culture on the @fridays4freedom Instagram page. 


Our current goal is $15k, and this money will go towards startup costs for organizing, including providing snacks, art materials, medical equipment, and other supplies, as well as working towards providing compensation for all of our amazing speakers, performers, artists, etc. Additionally, in response to the increasing presence of Proud Boys and other white supremacists in the Portland Metro area, we hope to raise enough funds to cover lyft rides for our youth organizers who are reliant on public transportation to get to and from protests. Fridays4Freedom is committed to continuing our work organizing with and for youth, but safety is our priority.
