Shane was recently released. (I am a friend and I published this GoFundMe on his behalf.) His primary goal is to find employment by sharing his experience and abilities. He possesses many skills suited to a broad range of business needs in any area involving marketing, management, and web development. Second, it is to create awareness by making a record of abuses still occurring for which there is no justification. Third, he would like to be able to afford some fried chicken and toilet paper for basic human function as they released him without the money to return to where he lives, and his last release to a halfway house they weren't even providing toilet paper.

The Following are Shane's words as related to me when he was in custody:

A Fellow Prisoner's Testimony

I PLED GUILTY to move beyond my present confinement, which will have me released within 30 days. I am not claiming complete innocence to my crimes of words in the present nor the past, nor am I claiming complete guilt; only pursuit of equal treatment before the law that doesn't seem to exist for city government refusing to acknowledge #REALITY of a 35-minute chokehold of myself that put me unconscious, among other documented abuse. My last release to a halfway house at Cornerstone Community in Chicago, I was not even provided toilet paper. I am not here to be a victim, but if American taxpayers are providing funding for services, those services need to be provided. Reality is they're not.

Any funding received will go to food, toilet paper, and immediate shelter. If extra is obtained, possibly a relaunch of initiative documented in Episode One All New.

I also have a diary to publish for a bigger goal and greater purpose than "Orange is the New Black" that will cost at least $5000. Minimally will you help me with a bucket of KFC and nacho fries, and maybe even some toilet paper without relying on the government that's always forcing me to strip naked and asking to see my starfish because of words stated in response to physical actions, and for telling the rest of the world what these actions cause?
