Friedlander Family Assistance

Hello, everyone. Almost everyone on Naval Base Ventura County knows Tom "Big Red" Friedlander. Yesterday, Tom's son, Tommy Junior, passed away during surgery to repair damage from his cancer treatment. Tommy Junior finished cancer treatment, only to lost the battle to a complication of radiation and chemotherapy.

I say this as my son Thomas Friedlander Jr. Passed away during surgery on Monday Jan 24, 2024. It's taken me a few days to say something as this is very personal. He was the youngest and the one who had to fight cancer through brutal chemo. Which he did! He won his fight with cancer, however the chemo weekend parts of his body and died during surgery to repair him. He was and is still the light in many people's lives. As his sister said he was the only one who wasn't an a$$hole. Which is true!

We will be holding a celebration of life in Tommy Jr fashion, Which may not be totally traditional as he wasn't. This is totally devastating to our family and I know his friends. Please spend the time with your children, even when they become adults.
