Friend critically injured in car accident
Donation protected
Hi, this is Lisa Wilson. I’m setting up a GoFundMe page for my amazing friend Wes Heustess who was critically injured and suffered multi-system trauma in a car accident a few weeks ago. His femur was shattered in 12 places, all of his toes were crushed, and his ulna and elbow were dislocated. He’s since had a blood transfusion, a near-collapsed lung due to fluid build up, emergency spleen surgery and deep vein thrombosis (blood clot). Wes will also need to re-learn to walk.
The accident was not his fault. Wes was trapped in the vehicle and required a multi-hour extraction. His fabulous dog Timmy and adorable kitten Luna were traveling with him when he was hit head on by another vehicle. The pets are now safely residing with family.
Wes devotes his winters to the Adaptive Ski program in Jackson Hole for individuals who are paralyzed or have lost a limb. He is also a tandem paraglider pilot in the summer and helps with the adaptive flights. Wes has made it his life’s work to help others.
As a result of his extensive injuries, Wes will spend several months in rehabilitation and be unable to work for an extended period.
This page aims to garner funds to cover medical costs and other living costs (mortgage, etc.). All funds will be received by Wes. The person who hit Wes has minimal liability insurance, which will not cover the extensive medical expenses (over $250,000).
Thank you in advance for your support.
