Friend in Need After Stroke (Charlie Bradford)

Charlie is a good man with a big heart. His family, with 9 children and 3 grandchildren, are loving and supportive through this difficult time. Charlie and his wife, Heather, are active in the local community, are the first to help anyone in need and work extremely hard to support their family.
Charlie is a Veteran of the Cold War and was working full-time as a water operator at West Point when tragedy struck. Charlie had a massive stroke several weeks ago while at work. He has missed many paychecks while waiting for disability/workers' comp or something to kick in. Heather works as the Laker Baker and Manager of a local shop. She has had to take time off of work to manage his care, coordinate doctor and rehab appointments and, most importantly, care for him. She does this with gratitude and a smile although her days are long and sometimes frustrating.
Unfortunately, tragedy has struck many more times for Charlie and Heather since the stroke. While recovering, Charlie’s truck was in an accident and totaled. The insurance payment doesn’t even cover the truck loan. Then, Charlie ended up back in the hospital for a few days due to complications. And, he still hasn’t received any workers comp or disability payments yet. Needlessly to say, the bills are piling up and there is very little money coming in.
To make his recovery a bit easier, a few of Charlie & Heather’s friends have already gotten together to fund a remodel of their bathroom to make it handicap accessible for Charlie. This will make his home safe and comfortable for his recovery.
Charlie and Heather have a long road ahead of them. They are just at the starting line with the checkered flag many, many miles away. They have not asked for anything except prayers and have even stepped up to help others. Myself and their other friends are asking for donations for them. They are loving, giving and big-hearted friends that need a helping hand themselves to get through this difficult time.
