Friends and Family of Chris Koppel
Chris Koppel needs our help, love and support as her body fights through a battle with this nasty virus!
An inspiration to so many Chris has made it her mission to give back to our community. She's one of the strongest women we know and always puts everyone else before herself!
Wife, mother, mentor, Veteran, rock star Realtor and community advocate....She's so many things to all of us.
Even as she's going thru so much fighting she still takes time to thank everyone else that's been an advocate for her:
"Afternoon thoughts from an ER....
Today as I woke I knew that I was gonna need to get to the hospital today. 02 levels were just too low and I needed help.
As I sit here feeling pretty good on oxygen, I realize how blessed I am.
- Blessed to have a strong body.
- Blessed to have friends and family who love me.
- Blessed to have skilled medical folks.
- Blessed it’s just some oxygen I need.
- Blessed to be still laughing.
- Blessed with the best two kids Megan Jean Koppel and Taylor Koppel
- Blessed to have the best sisters Jen McGranahan and Renee McConnell
- Blessed to have great Care givers for dad.
- Blessed with the best brokerage and the best real estate team who handle business for me.
So thankful for all the texts and calls and prayers.
Funny story, poor doctor comes in and looks really grim I’m thinking this is bad. He looks real serious and says “Chris we think you have some kind of leukemia your white blood cells are through the roof and they look wrong under the scope.” I felt myself smile in spite of myself and said, “well doc that is good because I do have leukemia and it’s all good. He looked so relieved that he was not breaking that news to me. But the CLL has been the Culprit making it hard to fight this man made insanity. But it was a cute moment of levity.
So, the truth is life is just hard on some level most days for all of us, some days are just harder than others.
The nurses and docs are tired out here I so appreciate their great care!
We keep moving on and taking care of ourselves the best we can! Life is short, love hard, play hard, work hard and choose to live. I won’t settle, you should not either.

Since that post she's had some set backs. Additional oxygen, plasma, and transfusions have had to be administered. Chris doesn't have insurance and will be fighting an uphill battle as her body recovers.
