Hope for Duncan and Ashley

To our incredible family, friends, and the Altadena community,

Duncan, Ashley, their daughter Max (6), and their son Shiloh (4) are facing an unthinkable loss. The Eaton Fire has destroyed their beloved family house and the neighborhood they called home.

On Tuesday, January 7th, they left their house due to a power outage, planning to work remotely. They assumed the winds would calm, allowing them to return on Thursday. Thankfully, everyone is safe. However, because they left before an official evacuation, they had no opportunity to gather anything beyond the clothes they were wearing.

This was their first home, a space they filled with love, creativity, and connection to the Altadena community. Their garden alone stood as a testament to their care. Heartbreakingly, Shiloh’s school Sagewood, a cornerstone of their community, was also lost in the fire along with Duncan’s beautiful music studio, which was the main source of income for the family.
