This GoFundMe has been established by Hazelview on behalf of employees, partners, friends, and family members who have offered and want to further support Hazelview's corporate Ukrainian housing program.
The funds raised will be used to help pay for household necessities and to cover other living expenses for those new Ukrainians arriving in Canada who need additional support and who will be living in the Hazelview suites as part of the corporate program.
We also encourage you to reach out if you have new or gently used household items that you would like to donate to the program (furniture, home decor, small appliances, books, toys, or games), please use the contact button below to get in touch with us.
We welcome you to join us today by donating and sharing this fundraiser with your friends, family, and communities.
Some examples of how the funds may be used include:
- Purchasing items to support a young family who's just moved into a suite (stroller, diapers, etc.)
- Purchasing small furniture items, bedding, or other houseware items in need
- Purchasing items and furniture to help make the suite feel more like home; kitchen tables and chairs, side tables, etc.
- The artwork represents a quiet moment of reflecting on a rainy day. A finger traces an expression of inner thought on the foggy window pane, making a statement to the world outside, however temporary. The title: Imagine Peace was born from Yoko Ono and John Lennon's work as peace activists back in 1969, when they staged nonviolent protests against war, titled bed-in. The sentiment is as apt now as it ever was, and the painting attempts to un-ironically freeze in time what may look like a fleeting moment, hoping to preserve its message (~Ric Santon)
- Ric is a graduate of the Ontario College of Art & Design Experimental Arts Program and co-founded Dianna Witte Gallery in 2002. His works are held in numerous private and corporate collections.
- Imagine Peace, 2022 spraypaint and acrylic on paper 26"x18" (value: $2400)
We'd like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Ric, Dianna, and the Dianna Witte Gallery for this generous donation.
