Friends in Need: Zethan and Breann Bloyer

Please let me start by saying that I understand that timing is everything.  This request for love and support comes to you when we are all struggling to understand what we are dealing with, how to stay safe, how to pay our bills and what lessons we are learning during this COVID-19 world crisis.

I have a dear friend, Delicia Bloyer, that has confided in me her concerns for her son, daughter-in-law and their 3 children.  They are in a perfect storm that started way before this pandemic but only increases in complexity as time passes.   Zethan, 33 and BreAnn, 35 live in Nevada and are raising three children: Saraiah, 16, Jayden, 14 and Jeremiah, 11.  They are a fun, loving family that support each other and help others whenever they can.  If you know Delicia, I will say that the apple did not fall far from the tree.    Good people.

Zethan was diagnosed with leukemia 6 years ago.  Thankfully, he has been able to get his leukemia to a ‘non-detectable’ stage but must remain on chemo for the remainder of his life.  After battling this for so long, he was then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis last year.  Due to the fact that he has cancer, they can’t treat his MS as they would otherwise (the medications counteract each other).  Finding a treatment for both illnesses that will be compatible and effective is an ongoing struggle.

BreAnn has been there for Zethan, standing by his side, through tests, sickness, hospital visits, etc.  Just a few weeks ago, BreAnn was diagnosed with breast cancer.  Her treatments have just begun and she has been told her chemo/radiation will last one year with two surgeries.  Due to COVID-19, she won’t be able to return to work after her treatments until this virus is under control, due to the high risk of exposure and a compromised immune system.  As you can imagine, along with all of the tests and treatments comes a significant financial burden.

After having this conversation with Delicia I felt compelled to reach out to ask for support for these lovely people.  I know so many are struggling financially and otherwise during this time but I also know, from my own personal experience, that some of us are fortunate enough to still have jobs/ paychecks and are able to stay home to preserve ours and other’s personal safety.  In these times, I hope that you can look within your own personal experiences and help in any way, this young family with so many hopes and dreams for their children as well as themselves.

The $20,000 goal is their reality of debt that they are challenged with, but any contribution would be so very much appreciated by their family.

Thank you so much for reading this and our prayers go out to you that you all remain safe and healthy as we all battle this virus.

Much love!
