Friends of Matt Calhoun

On Friday, March 16, our friend, colleague, and co-conspirator Matt Calhoun (AKA Sheriff, AKA Father Bob, AKA Papa Calhoun, and so many more) collapsed at home and was hospitalized. He has been heavily sedated while they tried to stabilize his condition. He is currently awaiting heart bypass surgery. We are currently waiting for more information on his status and recovery needs. He is surrounded by family in Texas. This will very likely be a long haul, not a short sprint. The outpouring of love and support from friends all across the country and the world has brought joy and comfort to the people closest to him, and this GoFundMe is an opportunity for us to offer support in a tangible way as well.

Though Matt does have some insurance, the medical bills from this visit and from the yet-unknown recovery for this life-changing event will be more than the family can bear alone.

Your help will be one small part of demonstrating the broad love and support Matt has. He has been an incredible friend to us, and this is one way we can thank him for the love he offers so selflessly. Thank you for whatever you can do to help, at whatever level is manageable for you.
