Dear friends of Nick & Melissa Medlock,
As you may have heard, Nick has been in the hospital for about two weeks with a ruptured appendix, an intestinal blockage, and peritonitis. On top of that, he just went through a second procedure this week to treat yet another special internal surprise and to say the least, this sucks.
In addition to the unexpected hospitalization and surgeries, Nick (as a gig worker and independent contractor) has suffered through lost wages, lack of health insurance, and many other personal difficulties, including his wife Melissa being furloughed for much of Covid.
So basically, Nick doesn’t have short term disability, health insurance, paid time off, sick leave, or any of the basic coverages and income some of us enjoy and were lucky to keep in 2020. Nick and Melissa are too sweet to ask for help themselves so we are going to do it for them, because we have been blessed this year, we definitely wouldn’t be here without Nick, and we actually have the ability to help.
It’s tough out there for everyone right now so we understand if you can’t contribute, but please share the link and hopefully we can scrounge up a little something to help Nick and Melissa focus on his recovery instead of their finances.
