Friends of Richie Emergency Relief Fund

Anyone who has been touched by the friendship of Richard V. Toomer knows how lucky they are. A musician, an artist, a lover of animals, and someone who makes this world a better place just by being here. Earlier this week, after experiencing what he originally believed to be panic attacks, Richie ended up driving himself to the ER only to discover he had suffered a heart attack. Richie had stent placement surgery and is doing as well as can be expected but he will require time to rest before returning to work at State of the Art Body Piercing, the independent business he opened last year, and the fruition of a dream. Managing a business in our post-pandemic world has presented myriad challenges, which he has overcome, but as we all know too well, a medical emergency can have dire financial repercussions and setbacks, especially for those of us living paycheck to paycheck in order to make ends meet. The last thing Richie should be doing now is worrying about rent for his shop, how to generate a steady flow of income, or food for his precious kitty, Mr. Huggs. We're lucky we have the opportunity to show him how much he means to us by taking some of the financial load off his plate. Richie has one of the biggest hearts of anyone, and he's also independent, resilient, and very proud, which means asking for help isn't his style. But that's just too damn bad, because we all love you, RVT!
