Friend’s Top Surgery - time sensitive

Our friend X has been needing top surgery for years now. It has been completely out of their reach financially, but this year a few positive things happened that meant it was finally an option.

They booked a surgery for May in Istanbul and have already paid out for flights and hotel accommodation for them and their mum, who will be travelling to support them.

If they can’t raise this cash they risk having to lose all their money spent on that.

They were working hard to gather the rest of the cash needed and then had a horrible accident that has stopped them from being able to work.

If community could step in and make up the shortfall – a shortfall in immediate cash… but also a societal shortfall in the form of our degraded NHS and increasing transphobia which dehumanises and discounts trans & non-binary people’s realities and needs.
