Four more words that Laura embraces and embodies.
Laura now has two new words in her life, breast cancer.
The good news is that the c-word doesn't stand a chance againist Laura's determination for healing her body and enjoying her life. Laura took on this challenge exactly like we've come to expect from her. She did her research, she did some more research, she asked a lot of questions, and she found the path that was best for her. This path will take Laura, her husband John, and her mother to New Orleans, for surgery, treatment and extended care for two weeks. Her youngest son Zach, will be cared for by Laura's father and her visiting sister while his parents are away.
Even with health insurance, time away from their jobs, a two week stay away from all the conviences of home, medical copays and out of network costs, expenses will grow quickly for this family. This go fund me page is a great way to offer your support to Laura and her family through donations to help off set some of the travel, stay, and medical expenses as she receives treatment and recovery care. The distance of her treatment will keep us from being able to offer her our physical support during the most difficult days of her recovery process, but we can shower her from afar with support and love to help to lift the burden of worry and fear. Laura reminded me this week that "You don't tell God that you have a Big Problem, You tell your problem, that you have a BIG GOD!" A Big God that will continue to bless his faithful daughter Laura with strength, peace and healing.
