Support the future of “Dusk” and “#NoFilter”

Wishbone Media LLC, an independent production company, was founded in 2023 with the mission of encouraging artistic collaboration by helping emerging artists bring their original works to life. The team believes in the profound impact of storytelling in shaping a more diverse and inclusive arts landscape.

Dusk: The sell-out viral Twilight parody musical is currently fundraising not only to schedule more live performances with its professional cast, but also to make the performance rights licensable to schools and community theaters. Dusk started in an educational setting as a project meant to encourage creative collaboration and offer performers a wide range of diverse characters and ensemble roles to develop. We can’t wait to share the experience of bringing this show to life with all of you.

Wishbone’s “accidental” flagship project, “Dusk: A Bite-Size Love Story,” enjoyed great success at it’s Edinburgh Fringe debut last summer, resulting in international press coverage and a sold-out run.

As a thank you to audiences for their support, “Dusk” returns to Edinburgh this year in special edition of the show, featuring new songs voted on by patrons.

The goal of the project has always been to unite people creatively and make the arts more accessible to performers and patrons, alike. As the team revises the full-length script and score in preparation of releasing performance rights, they are mounting a special Dusk event that has invited audience feedback and contribution. “Dusk: A Bite-Size Celebration,” features all of Dusk’s fan-favorite moments, in addition to new ones, selected by them!

All proceeds will go towards the future of the production, which includes making the performance rights licensable and scheduling more live shows!

#NoFilter: A mission-driven new musical exploring the impacts of social media on relationships, psyche, and mental health. #NoFilter strives to offer a new take on musical theatre. The show is making its Edinburgh Fringe Debut this summer in an Act 1 Preview and is currently fundraising to further development beyond Fringe, as well as pursue additional performances opportunities.

#NoFilter was created and written by Jack Storm over the course of the past eight years, drawing on the observations, conversations, and emotions of real life experiences. The stories depicted onstage were inspired by events that took a place over the last 16 years, mapping real interactions throughout Jack’s adulthood. “If you get a broken heart, turn it into art,” was Jack’s philosophy when approaching this very raw and honest piece.

The goal of #NoFilter is to offer audiences a story they can find themselves in. With an ensemble cast of many diverse characters fighting their own demons, there is sure to be a story or two individual viewers find relatable. An overarching message of the show is, “despite how damaged one may feel, it does not impact their worth.”

Fundraising efforts will go towards filming archival footage and a concept album, which will aid in the further development of this important new work.
