SAVE 8 LIVES: HELP ME EVACUATE MY FAMILY

To everyone reading this, I extend my sincerest wishes for peace, love, and safety to surround you. This is Hala from Gaza, currently in Cairo. I have launched this campaign to help my family escape from the north of Gaza to Egypt.

The decision to initiate a GoFundMe campaign to safeguard my family has been incredibly difficult. My family, particularly my father, has always been characterized by their selflessness, never seeking anything in return for their generosity. However, the horrors of the ongoing war have driven them to desperation, seeking anything to spare their children from the threats of death and assault.

At the forefront of their struggles during this conflict is my 24-year-old brother, Omar. Diagnosed with brain atrophy at two months old, his condition has profoundly impacted his life. His impaired sight, inability to walk or communicate, and frequent seizures—exacerbated by the scarcity of essential medication in Gaza—underscore the urgency of their situation.

In this picture, meet Omar. He clung to my leg for safety, unable to stand and hug me due to his condition.

Beyond Omar, my two determined sisters, Assil (21) and Lama (20), are diligently pursuing their education. However, their studies have been halted by the war. They aspire for success despite the adversities and are seeking to continue their education once they evacuate to Egypt. However, I am worried about the potential risks they might face, particularly the threat of sexual assault.

Mohammed (18) and Abdallah (16), although sometimes picky eaters, are resilient in the face of hardship. Our youngest, Angie, suffers from seizures triggered by fear, compounding the challenges they face.

In these pictures, meet Angie—she loves sharing her latest styles with me. Her first braid, made entirely on her own, captured a moment of pure joy.

They have endured the horrors of war in northern Gaza—exposed to indiscriminate violence and constant threats to their safety. My father, a true hero, has risked his life time and again to provide for them, while my mother perseveres, cooking over open flames despite the toll it takes on her health.

My family deserves safety, stability, and the opportunity for a brighter future. Your generous contributions, totaling €100,000, will serve as a lifeline, facilitating their safe evacuation from Gaza and providing essential support during their transition. Funds will cover basic necessities, education expenses for my siblings, and crucial medical care and equipment for Omar, including physical and cognitive therapy for a full year or even more.
