From Cacti to Castles: Support Sophia’s Summer Exchange

I am so excited to have been selected as a student delegate by Tempe Sister Cities (TSC) to represent Tempe, AZ in their Student Exchange Program this summer! I am writing to ask for your financial support to help the 2025 Student Exchange Program be a success. (tempesistercities.org)

I survived a competitive selection process and am one of 26 high school juniors from Tempe who were selected to travel to one of our 11 worldwide sister cities and live with a family for three weeks. I am going to CARLOW, IRELAND!

Carlow is in southeast Ireland, about an hour from Dublin. I can’t wait to see the beautiful green countryside and visit castles and ancient ruins! I’m even going to try to visit County Donegal, where my family was from.

I will be leaving in early June and returning the first week of July. Then my Irish host sister will come here for three weeks to live with my family and me in Arizona!

The TSC Student Exchange Program has many activities planned for our international sisters and brothers while they are in Tempe. We hope to take our delegation to the Grand Canyon and California, as well as show them the best of Tempe and Arizona. We are fundraising to cover these expenses for the Tempe and International delegates, and I am hoping you are able to donate.

The majority of the money we raise will come from contributions made by donors like you. All donations are tax-deductible and go directly to TSC’s Student Exchange Program. Tempe Sister Cities is a 501(c)3 organization.
