Hi! My name is Janeia Newby. I am happy and proud of my daughter Jakayla Newby. She is an 11th grade middle college student. Taking both college and high school classes. Traveling and learning different cultures is her goal. I'm excited to announce she is the first Middle College student at CPCC to be awarded Study Abroad to Ecuador for 3 weeks. Unfortunately, she doesn't qualify for any scholarships, financial aid or funding due to her student status. We desperately need your help to pay for the program. She has worked so hard from being a STEM student since middle school, NC Scholar majority of middle and high school, and working on both high school diploma and CPCC Associate Degree.
