From Costa Rica to Bulgaria: Fund Zihany’s Education Journey

My name is Zihany Fonseca, I'm a singer-songwriter and film music composer from Costa Rica, seeking funding for my music studies in Bulgaria.

I have been accepted to pursue my master's studies at the Film Scoring Academy of Europe in September 2024 and have been awarded two scholarships totaling €18,000 to cover my tuition fees, in recognition of my outstanding audition and financial hardships. However, I still need assistance to cover the full tuition fee. Here's a breakdown of the expenses:

Total tuition fees for one year: €36,950.

Throughout my nine years of studying music, I have always put in my best efforts to make the most of any professional opportunity that came my way. That mindset has taken me to significant opportunities in the performance and compositional field. Unfortunately, I come from a country experiencing an economic recession and a complex political situation. As a result, in my educational path, I have not been able to obtain financial support from the government or private institutions, especially as a young woman building professional experience.

Despite my efforts to save for the past few months and apply for external scholarships, I have been unable to raise the necessary funds. That is why I urgently need your contribution, regardless of size, as it will make a significant difference in my life and future.

Mi nombre es Zihany Fonseca, soy una cantautora y compositora de música para cine de Costa Rica, que busca financiar sus estudios de posgrado en música en Bulgaria.

Hace unos meses fui aceptada para realizar mis estudios de maestría en la Film Scoring Academy of Europe en septiembre de 2024 y me han concedido dos becas por un total de 18.000 € para cubrir mis gastos de matrícula. Esto en reconocimiento a mi excelente audición y a mis dificultades económicas actuales. Sin embargo, todavía necesito ayuda para cubrir la matrícula completa. A continuación, se muestra un desglose de los gastos:

Como resultado, en mi trayectoria educativa, no he podido obtener apoyo financiero del gobierno ni de instituciones privadas, especialmente siendo una mujer joven que está acumulando experiencia profesional.

A pesar de mis esfuerzos por ahorrar durante los últimos meses y solicitar becas externas, no he podido reunir los fondos necesarios. Es por eso que necesito urgentemente su contribución, independientemente del tamaño, ya que marcará una diferencia significativa en mi vida y mi futuro.
