From Death Row to Home

Donation protected
We’re Rachel and Miranda in California. Here to ask for donations to help give Archie dog a second chance at life. His owner failed him and left him to be euthanized at the shelter. We saved him hours before his death from the Larimer Humane in Loveland, CO.
Backstory: I found him 4 years ago here in the Central Valley, on the street. Brought him home to the house Miranda and I had together.
We vetted him. Microchipped him. We neutered him. We got his foxtails surgically removed. We got him cleaned up and accustomed to house life and what it’s like to be loved by humans. We found him a home in Colorado. Exactly 4 years ago THIS week, on 8/2 we made the drive to Zion in Utah and handed him off to his new owner.
He was just a pup. Maybe 1? So that would make him 5 now. July 26th, this year. I got a text from his owner who was at the Larimer humane to “release” him.
The microchip was still in Miranda’s name with our address. Owner needed the name transferred over to her so she could have him killed, not be to be “released” as she worded it, but to be killed for his “aggression”
Immediately Miranda and I went into action to save him. They said they would hold him ($45/day). Yesterday, 8/2 ( his “gotcha day with “her”) they called and said he has til TODAY (8/3) at 6PM. That’s it, no extensions. He dies at 6 pm today. Thankfully a Colorado hero came to save him today on behalf of Miranda and I! Just hours before his death sentence!
Currently Archie is traumatized, his teeth are horrible, he was covered in urine, he has nervous incontinence and is malnourished. He hasn’t shown any signs of aggression, just very scared and again traumatized.
We have him lined up for boarding and training here in Fresno. That’s where we’re asking for your help financially… we need fuel to get to Co. and get him back here to California, plus his boarding and training. Sadly, this is all well into the thousands of dollars. Financially, we cannot afford this. But we are desperate at giving Archie a second chance. We want the BEST comeback story of 2023 for him. He deserves this. We failed him once, but not again. Not under our watch.
You all helped me 4 years ago with him, that’s how I got him chipped and neutered and all those things. Can we rally again, one more time? For Archie? Please? The training costs alone are $3,896. We love you all so much! Thank you!
