From Grief to Art: Desmond's Mission
Donation protected
I'm still grappling with the immense loss of my two brothers, Gavin and Tom Curran, who were exceptional and complex individuals that I deeply admired. Our youthful years were filled with unforgettable fishing trips, so much laughter, and ambitious dreams.Their passing due to suicide over the past year has been unbearable.
To celebrate their memory and support suicide awareness and prevention, I'm currently fundraising for a special performance to honor their memory. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be incredibly meaningful.
Some of the items I hope to acquire to make this happen are:
A carbon fiber guitar (my Seagull wood guitar warped from playing outside).
A new sign for outside advertising my act.
A GoPro camera to film myself performing.
Funds to pay a camera- person to film a full live show for promotion purposes.
A new travel bag or cart for all of my troubadour equipment.
Money to advertise so I can book gigs inside and promote my outside show (such as joining Plymouth Chamber of Commerce).
Funds to pay a Camera person to film my show at Preservation Hall in Wellfleet in February.
Funds to help me get through this winter as a performing artist.
10% of raised funds will be donated to The Plymouth and Norfolk County Suicide Prevention Coalition http://plymouthctyspc.org/
Funds will also help me reach my ultimate goal: A one-man show in memory of both my brothers.
Here are some samples of my work if you’re not familiar with me.
