From Harehills with Love

From Harehills with Love is a Football Tournament with a purpose: it aims to encourage and nurture a culture of neighbourliness and generosity. It is also designed as a grassroot Fundraiser administered by the HELP PROJECT to establish a Housing Fund which can address some of the complex housing issues in the area, specifically, the threat of forced eviction and destitution particularly for those without access to public funds. Specifically, the funds raised from the Football tournament will contribute to the housing cost of two families who reside in Harehills who are unable to access public funds. Both families are at risk of forced eviction and destitution and have been kept anonymous to maintain their dignity and privacy. In addition, part of the funding raised will cover part of the immigration cost for one of the families who is currently applying for his pre-settled status.
