From Homeless to Law School: A Journey of Hope

Six years ago, I was living on the streets, addicted to meth, and trapped in a cycle of incarceration that lasted ten years. My life was consumed by addiction, homelessness, and the constant struggle to survive. But despite every obstacle, I refused to let my past define my future. Today, I stand as living proof that redemption is possible. With five Associate Degrees and a Bachelor's Degree, I have now been accepted into Trinity Law School and will be starting this fall!

My decision to pursue law is deeply personal. While incarcerated, my daughter was adopted without my knowledge or consent—a devastating experience that shattered me but also ignited my purpose. I learned firsthand how the justice system fails families, especially those impacted by incarceration, and I vowed to fight for parents and children who face the same fate. My mission is clear: to become an attorney who advocates for families, fights for justice, and ensures no one else has to endure the pain I have lived through.
