From Hospital to Homeless: Christina's Story

Donation protected

My name is Christina Sivilay. I recently had a stroke and I was in a coma for a while, but I don't remember how long. When I woke up, I saw my family and friends. I was unable to speak, and I couldn't remember their names. I wanted to say words to them, but due to the rupture and swelling in my brain, I couldn’t process the words to say. I was in the hospital for 2 months recovering. I was doing PT OT and speech therapy to get better. When I came home, my entire life had changed. My mom, my aunt and everyone that was close to me try to help me to get better and supported me however they could. I am not fully recovered and my whole right side I can barely move it. I wish I was back to how I was before, but I can't. I struggle doing the smallest tasks, and feel stuck - unable to freely do the things I use to. Everyday I want to cry because of how this stroke has paralyzed my right side preventing me to do things with my kids. It's hard for me to sleep and eat.

Soon after, I found out that I'm getting evicted from my own home with my two kids. Unable to work or receive financial help. I now have 2 months to find a place to stay with my two kids. I have nowhere to go except for the shelter or the streets. It would mean so much to me if any of you can help.
Any donation will help; it doesn't have to be much. I just want a warm safe place for me and my kids this Holiday and Winte
