From Loss to Hope- let’s help get Dana into a home
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Amber and I’m the daughter of Dana Sewell. If you are reading this, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are strangers to most of you and this means the world to me. My mother has worked hard her whole life, as most mothers do for their children. My father passed away during my senior year of high school, which left my mother devastated and raising two teenage daughters on her own. She got both of us graduated and into college.
Eight months ago, she was involved in a rollover car crash that totaled her truck and left her submerged underwater. She was rescued by a passerby who called 911 for help. She is still recovering from those injuries, loss of work, and loss of vehicle. Fast forward to Mother’s Day this year, she was forced out of her home by a house fire that she could do nothing but helplessly watch her life burn to the ground. She was beyond blessed to get out and we are forever thankful God spared her life twice in one year.
Due to no fault of her own, the home insurance was canceled last year after paying since 2009, due to the age of the home and it not being a permanent structure. So, we will have no such luck at rebuilding or buying another home in this economy. I work as a private caregiver, as does my mother, and the money just isn’t enough to begin starting anew. I know we’re not alone in this battle of life but if anyone can donate, share, or lend a prayer to help get my mother back on her feet, into a home, we would forever be thankful.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and share. Have a blessed day
