Transform Lives: Your Gift Can Break the Cycle of Poverty

Tax deductible

Looking for 420 givers who are willing to send $19.95 monthly.

In 2002, two women visiting Honduras were so impacted by the impoverished condition of the women they encountered, they vowed to provide these women hope for a better future.

As women of vision and resolve, they began a journey that has spanned 22 years and elevated hundreds of Honduran women out of extreme poverty by providing skills training, education, and fair wage opportunities, disrupting the generational poverty that was their destiny and that of their children.

Reina's home had dirt floors and corrugated sidewalls before becoming a fair wage earner through Mi Esperanza course studies.

Through free education, skills training courses in cosmetology, tailoring, computers, jewelry making, and English, graduates learn a trade, open a business, become more employable, or work for fair wages in the Mi Esperanza sewing and jewelry studios. Students create and sell their own artisan designs and products, as well as fulfill mass orders from outside brands.

Make Giving Tuesday a Monthly Kind of Day

Your monthly donation of $19.95, on any Tuesday of your choosing, throughout 2025 will help to cover the monthly operating budget of Mi Esperanza's schools in Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The schools provide crucial child care services so the students can learn free of fear for the safety of their children. Students often walk or ride from the barrios and mountains, more than two hours each way, to attend the Mi Esperanza main campus.

Graduates benefit from micro-loans provided by The Women of My Hope. They can return to their villages and begin to make a living wage, provide for their families, send their children to school, and thrive in one of the most impoverished and violent nations in the world.

Mi Esperanza is changing the stars in Honduras one woman at a time, and one family at a time.

Will you help? Are you one of the 420 generous individuals who will volunteer to commit to $19.95 a month in 2025 and beyond?

The Women of My Hope operates its campuses solely through charitable donations and sales from its small gift shop, which is filled with creations made by the student artisans. This participation gives each student "skin in the game" and creates pride in the work they are accomplishing and confidence in their ability to continue this success after graduation.

Mi Esperanza survives on charitable donations for its daily operations. The current economy has reduced the large yearly donations that have sustained us in the past. We are very aware of the collective financial challenges of our donors, and we appreciate and are so thankful for every penny that is donated to our cause.

That's why we are asking for a small monthly commitment. And most significantly, we ask you to share this page with your friends via social media, email, or by word of mouth or text.

Our goal is for 420 generous donors to commit to $19.95 a month to elevate, empower, and educate women out of poverty—which in turn educates and feeds their children and disrupts generational poverty. Will you be one of them?

All donations tax deductible.
