From Refugee Camp to Graduation: Help Hasan Graduate

Hello, I’m Hasan Al-Saleh, and I’m reaching out with a heartfelt plea for your support. I am a 28 years old refugee from Lebanon, born and raised in a refugee camp where hope and dreams often seem out of reach. My family and I have faced immense challenges, and despite our efforts, we continue to struggle with the basic necessities of life, including education.
I have been a student at the Lebanese International University in Beirut since 2016, working tirelessly to complete my bachelor’s degree in Management Information System. I’ve managed to scrape together a significant portion of my tuition through hard work—grocery stores, baking shops, and restaurants—but the daily struggle to support my family has hindered my ability to save the final $2,000 needed for my last semester.
My journey has not been easy. The refugee community in Lebanon faces severe limitations, including a ban on working in 73 different job sectors, making it incredibly difficult to secure steady employment. My friends and I are working on finding a master’s scholarship abroad, which could offer a brighter future, but this dream hinges on completing my current degree.
I’ve come to you with a humble request: help me raise the $2,000 needed to pay for my final semester. This is not just about finishing my degree; it’s about creating a future where I can contribute to my community and break the cycle of hardship. Your support can turn this dream into reality and pave the way for greater opportunities.
Thank you for taking the time to read my story and for considering helping me achieve my dreams.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Hasan Al-Saleh
