From War and Tents to Safety: Help Us Evacuate Gaza
Donation protected
The bombs keep falling. Each day, my family and I wake up in Gaza to a living nightmare, racing against time as the war strips away any sense of peace and normalcy. Our lives are in constant danger, and we are desperate for a way out — a chance to protect my family and rebuild my future in safety. But we cannot do it alone. We need your help to escape this nightmare and begin anew abroad.
Our Story: A Life in Ruins
Hello, dear friends and potential saviors. My name is Ghazi Al Amoudi, and I am 25 years old, living in Gaza City. For over 11 months, my family and I have been living a life of relentless violence and suffering after being displaced from our home, which was completely destroyed. We now live in a tent — exposed to the scorching heat of summer, the freezing cold of winter, and the unforgiving mud that floods our lives during the rain. Disease, epidemics, and pollution haunt us as we struggle to survive without adequate food, water, or medicine. It’s no place for anyone, especially not for children, but this is all we have.
Before the war shattered our lives, I had just moved into my home in northern Gaza. It was supposed to be a moment of joy, but our happiness was short-lived. On the 7th of October, everything changed. The day started like any other, but soon the sky darkened with smoke, the ground trembled beneath us, and the terrifying sounds of explosions filled the air. The bombings were relentless, and my family and I huddled together, praying we would survive. When the dust settled, nothing was the same.
My Life Career Before & After War
Before the war, I was proud to work as an instructional designer, building a future for myself and my family. I had a thriving career and a home that I worked hard to establish. But everything vanished during the war.
Before the War: My Work and Life
This was my workspace—a place of creativity and hope. It was here that I built my career and supported my family.
After the War: The Destruction
Now, it’s all gone. My office, my tools, and everything I worked for are reduced to rubble. The war has taken everything from us, and now my family and I are living in a tent, struggling to survive.
Living in Fear, Trapped in War
Everything we once had is gone. Our home is destroyed, our community is in ruins, and the constant sound of explosions reminds us that nowhere is safe. My family and I are trapped in Gaza, living in a fragile tent while the bombs fall closer and closer. Every night, the walls shake, and we wonder if we’ll make it through till morning. We’ve lost everything, and we know that our only chance at survival is to escape this war-torn land. But we cannot do it without your help.
How You Can Help Us Escape
The funds raised will go directly toward covering the costs of evacuating my family and me to safety. This includes:
1. Travel expenses — airfare, documentation, and transportation for me and my family.
2. Temporary shelter — a safe place where we can rest, recover, and begin to rebuild.
3. Basic necessities — food, clothing, and medical care upon arrival.
4. Support for rebuilding our lives — access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities in a new country.
My family consists of 7 individuals, we estimate that we will need $10,000 per person to cover these critical expenses.
Why Your Help Matters
Your support can make the difference between life and death for my family. Every donation brings us one step closer to leaving behind the destruction and fear, and to starting over in a place where we can finally find peace. We cannot do this alone, but with your kindness, we can give our family a chance at life — a chance to rebuild, to dream, and to live without fear.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of our journey toward safety and hope.
