Wake Up Maggie- let's make a movie!

Donation protected
Maggie’s tightly wound life unravels when she gets a call that her estranged sister is in deep trouble. Their reunion reveals a startling diagnosis that leads Maggie to her own unexpected awakening.

Wake Up Maggie movie is a coming of middle age film, written as a love letter to caregivers, to raise awareness of FTD (frontotemporal dementia).

Losing my mom to FTD was the ultimate wake up call for me. Straddling raising four school-aged children while also attempting to care for my mom and grow a small business felt like treading water in the middle of the ocean. I experienced the long, slow goodbye with my mom and it wasn’t until years later that I realized she had left me with a precious gift - a desire to live my life as fully as possible.
This film is meant to not only grow awareness around dementia, especially frontotemporal Dementia - FTD, and the toll that caregiving takes, but also to highlight the journey of a woman healing from trauma and entering a new season of life with renewal and hope. This film is my calling. This film celebrates my journey in a collective way and I can’t wait for you to watch.

Thank you for any contribution that you're able to give. We're so thankful to have you join us in the telling of this story!

In gratitude, Katie Prentiss, creator of this film.
