Front teeth for Kaia

My daughter Kaia was in an accident on 9/25/20 where she suffered from mouth and teeth trauma. It was a great Friday as we were in our route home to do pizza and movie night like every other Friday. When we got home, Kaia (7 years old) and brother Kaysen (10 years old) were overly excited running in the house and in their socks. I asked them to do showers and P. J. time for movie night. Kaia and Kaysen were in Kaysen’s room and decided it was super ninja time. They were laughing so hard I walked in and saw Kaysen do a fake kick at Kaia and then Kaia went to do a kick move back. She slipped and landed on her face on the wood floor. It was so hard, she took a moment and screamed. There was so much blood, I panicked and grabbed her and told Kaysen to get in the car.
I drove the car while she was bleeding so much and they were screaming. She was holding a towel on her face and the look in her eyes I will never forget. Kaysen called 911 and had them on the phone the whole time and all the time she was screaming and crying. I didn't think I could drive anymore so I pulled inti the fire station. We live remote so anything in town is a half hour away. When I parked he was still on the phone, I was panicked and crying and holding her again so much blood and not even able to see what the injuries were. Meanwhile, she is screaming frantically and I am trying to calm her down.
Amazingly enough the 911 call Kaysen was on and with Kaysen’s information the firemen came out of station 96 in Temecula and came to assistance. They calmed me down and calmed the kiddos down too. Thank God for that stop as I really needed that breath to take a break and get some strength and to pray so I could move on and continue to the hospital.
We got to hospital and all fell into place. They saw her right away, the ER Dr. Was awesome as was the nurse. They checked her out and there were no other injuries other than the teeth. It was really hard to look at and still makes me weak to think about it. The ER Dr. called his friend who happened to be our dentist and we met the dentist at his office. They asked me for the teeth and luckily we had the front tooth and the two other pieces of both front teeth that broke off. They spent hours working on Kaia, they were beyond amazing. It was our dentist and his wife on a Friday night. Total 100 percent amazing and will never forget the strength and tranquility they transferred to Kaia.
So, here is the teeth story. One front tooth completely knocked out, 1 knocked and still in there, 2 loose. So the dentist put a wire across the six front teeth to hold them all together. They were not able to put back the broken pieces of the two front teeth. She will see the endodontist this week to look at her as she is going to need two root canals if those teeth decide to take and get to stay in her mouth. After that we will see her dentist and talk about the reconstruction of her teeth.
It will be a long road of recovery and we just want her smile back. She said she looks like a vampire but her spirits are great. She is eating soft foods and going to school, we are just taking it easy and trying to keep her from falling again. She is a trooper, she is a Super strong fierce little child.
Unfortunately, The specialists are not covered by my insurance and the ER visit was not either. Apparently, my deductible has not been met as she is my healthy little wild child that goes to her well care once a year and that's it.
Thank you and please send uplift Kaia in your prayers. Kaia and Kaysen Kaia Kaia yesterday.
