Frontline Food Trucks (NYC)
Donation protected
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the NYFTA and its members are immediately rolling out a program to provide thousands of free servings of coffee and other nutritional snacks and meals every day via our food trucks to the frontline medical professionals tirelessly fighting in NYC.
The New York Food Truck Association has launched a GoFundMe campaign to support healthcare workers who are fighting on the front lines to help address COVID-19, while supporting our local food truck members whose businesses have been shut down due to this pandemic.
Many hospitals across NYC, including NYU Langone, Mount Sinai, and NY Presbyterian, are in very short supply of food and beverage products because cafeterias and cafes are closed, and minimal local stores are open from which healthcare workers can quickly buy food in between shifts.
All contributions raised by this campaign will be used for additional costs needed to keep this service running, including truck staffing and additional food and beverage supplies. This will also help us scale up our reach to support multiple hospitals, doing multiple shifts per day (breakfast, lunch, dinner), 7 days a week.
We have partnered with a growing number of food and beverage companies who have generously donated their products, but we ask that you join us in this effort by donating to our campaign. With your help, we can support healthcare workers across all hospitals in NYC, while saving the jobs and livelihoods of New York food truck owners and all their employees. No donation is too small!
Our goal is to have dozen of our member food trucks rotating between 5-10 hospital locations to feed tens of thousands of frontline medical staff every week for as long as this crisis continues. To help these amazing selfless hospital staff members while saving an industry with countless employees facing imminent unemployment, we need your help!
If you would like to learn more about the NYFTA and its members or donate food and beverage items to be distributed through our members' trucks to the frontline medical professionals fighting COVID-19, please go to our relief effort's website at www.frontlinefoodtrucks.com or email us at [email redacted]
