We come to you with a powerful request for your focused love and assistance.
Our beloved Jessica Fagan recently received a diagnosis of stage 3 breast cancer. This news has of course rocked her world, and she is now preparing to undergo an intense and costly treatment, including 16 chemo treatments followed by surgery and radiation. Right now the prognosis is optimistic if she can devote the next year of her life fully to this healing journey.
She is facing this challenge with incredible grace, determination and optimism, and we are asking all who are in her circle of care to help carry the lift.
In this moment, Jessica feels healthy and strong. She is receiving the deep teachings of this diagnosis and taking this time to love and care for herself more than she ever has. She’s doing everything in her power - diet, exercise, sleep, mindfulness - to stay physically and emotionally resilient. She is getting quiet and working with, rather against herself.
Many people need a metaphor for their healing. Hers has been one of bringing all parts of herself into wholeness, including the cancer. She doesn’t really resonate with “fighting” cancer, but is instead learning how to bring the focus of healing and care she has always given others, toward herself.
Feeling the support of her family and friends has been really profound for her. She will use this space to share her journey with you, and she welcomes your outpouring of love. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers, holding and seeing her as fully healed.
How You Can Help Today
After grad school and the last few years working in community mental health, she doesn’t have a vast pool of personal resources to draw from. She is most in need of financial resources to give her quality healthcare options and the highest likelihood of a successful outcome right now.
