On 7/25 my friend Dez found herself hospitalized with a Stage 3 heart block. The doctors have not been able to provide solid answers as to why this happened. She was in the CICU under close watch for 4 days. On 7/27 she had a permanent pacemaker put in. This alone was stressful, scary, and devastating. She was sent home to rest on 7/28. On 7/30 she was having alarming chest pains. Dez then wound up back in the hospital, and after further examination, they determined she had blood clotting and fluid in her lungs. She was yet again admitted to the cardiac unit. Treatment for this is going to require very expensive, life saving medications. She is currently in the process of trying to obtain some type of medical insurance. The needed medications will not be covered under the insurance currently offered - or under any insurances shes looked over. She is unable to work and still needs to be able to provide for herself and her two children at this time.
